MYRPW rewards a small amount of setup before your first scene — not because it’s complicated, but because a complete Character and a clear sense of what you want to write make everything after this faster.
1. Create your account
Sign up free at app.myrpw.com/register. You’ll land on your feed, but the real starting point is the next step.
2. Build your first Character
Go to Characters and fill in the fields that matter most to other writers first:
- Name, tagline, and bio — your character’s introduction
- Universe — the setting this character belongs to, even if that’s “none, contemporary”
- RP genre and preferred style — what you write and how (para, multi-para, whatever fits)
- Status — Open, Busy, or Away, so partners know if you’re free right now
You can add a gallery, relationships to other characters, and a 3D avatar later — none of it blocks you from writing.
3. Join or start a World
Browse Communities for a World with lore that fits what you want to write, and send a join request if it’s private. If nothing fits, start your own — you’ll set the lore and decide who else can join.
4. Write
From here, there’s no single right next step:
- Publish a Tale — a persistent, section-built piece of roleplay writing
- Post a 24-hour Story if you just want to share a moment
- Drop into a Room for a live scene
- Search Writing Partners by genre and availability if you want to write one-on-one first
